Tahquitz & Suicide Rock

The birthplace of the Yosemite Decimal System, Tahquitz and Suicide Rock are the premier granite multipitch destination for the aspiring Yosemite climber. With routes just as spectacular as those of Yosemite, Tahquitz and Suicide both offer traditional crack climbs up to 8 pitches in length, 5.4 to 5.11. Suicide offers the best crack climbing in Southern California and is simple stone’s toss outside of Los Angeles. If you’re up to it, we can easily obtain three routes in a day at Tahquitz, offering over 1,200 feet of climbing — including the note-worthy Friction Slab descent.

Single pitch rock climbing from 5.6 to 5.11. Classics include Insomnia, Flower of High Rank, and Etude.
Multipitch rock climbing from 5.4 to 5.11. Classics include White Maiden’s Walkway, The Trough, Fingertrip, Left Ski Track, Whodunit, The Vampire, The Open Book, El Camino Real, and Superpooper.
